Hi friends!

Happy 4th of July weekend! Hubby and I don’t have any plans for the weekend, except some quality family time. This is the first 4th of July he will be off of work in who knows how long!

I thought it would be fun to share our military shoot we designed, styled, and even modeled for for Cottage Hill Magazine that came out last fall! (I am behind on sharing projects!)

My husband was (and still is, once a Marine, always a Marine…Semper Fi!) a Marine, and when Katie with Cottage Hill approached us for their first issue of Cottage Hill we were thrilled to be a part! I had trouble finding a couple to model for us, so I volunteered hubby to dust off his Dress Blues and model for us! 🙂 It was nice to see him in his Blues again!

We had an incredible team who participated to make this shoot come to life, see the complete list below!

These are our actual letters we wrote back and forth to each other and K’s real dog tags! It was fun to bring in real mementos from his time in the military, which makes this shoot that much more special!

Class whites and greens for the floral kept it traditional and classic, tied with long yellow ribbons and Marine EGA emblem pin…

How incredible is this cake by Sugary and Chic Cake Boutique! Inspired by the Marine Dress Blues!
