Hi y’all!

I am so excited to share a recent styled shoot today! What I love about styled shoots is that they provide such freedom for creativity. There’s no one to please (or paying) so there’s no pressure (well except the pressure that I put on myself!) for the end result to look a certain way.

At the beginning of the year I began assembling a dream team of vendors, most that I had worked with previously on shoots. I created an inspiration board based on what I envisioned for the shoot with notes, and then gave the other vendors free reign as to what they wanted to contribute that would provide them with wonderful marketing images.

So how did my inspiration board translate into what really happened in front of the camera?

Let’s find out! All images by Archetype Studio Inc.

I really wanted to create a shoot that was void of trends and that had an effortless quality, but with a fun twist of color. This was important for the couples who are searching for inspiration who want the details of their big day to be timeless, but still reflect their personalities.

The groom is wearing a traditional tux, but with a fun bow tie. The bride has a touch of elegance with a lace top, but it is paired with a sassy coral skirt.

Timeless doesn’t have to mean an entire neutral color palette.

Our table is relaxed with a thick neutral linen tablecloth and a vibrant moss green was chosen for the napkin placed in an imperfect way.

From the traditional stationery suite with bold colors, to the simple cake, to the bright and playful florals every detail was thought out with the timeless, but fun couple in mind.

Our joyful “bride and groom” are also newlyweds, so it was easy to capture their sweet personalities!
