Happy Sunday!

We have been busy, busy here at TMD headquarters! And when I say busy…well, you will just have to wait and see what we’ve been working on! 🙂

Back several months ago, my sweet friends over at Archetype Studio and I decided we wanted to do a styled shoot at the (at that time still under construction, but now brand new) Chateau Cocomar! I have had the honor of doing a few different projects at this magnificent venue, but this one is quite special!

We can finally share the images as they were recently published on the pièce de résistance of wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty!!

Some of you might wonder, how exactly do I start or where do I start when I design one of my shoots? If this is not you, then just scroll on down to the inspiration goodness, but if it is you, then here goes…

I basically start with an inspiration piece and then I build an entire story around it. I then brainstorm on ideas that will help to tell the story I want to portray. I also identify what bride I am trying to reach, and then of course what blog or magazine I want the shoot to hopefully be published in. Then {because Im kind of a nerd} I put a name-to-a-face so to speak, and give my shoot a unique name, and a “face” by creating an inspiration board.

This particular shoot was a direct collaboration with seriously two of the most talented photographers I have  had the pleasure to work with and get to know, Terilyn and Koby. So we  went through the steps I just outlined together and worked as a team in what can only be explained as perfect harmony. After numerous conversations {and some sushi} I came up with an inspiration board and “Literary Romance” was born.

Board created by Tamara Menges Designs

I create an inspiration board for every shoot and I use it when inviting other vendors to work on the shoot with me, and in this case, us. I feel that is necessary so that the other vendors can see “what’s in my head”.

Ok, ok, Im done!  Now for the good stuff! I think this one deserves a drum roll….

Now to highlight some of the amazing vendors that we invited to showcase their own business!

Please, please check out these amazing vendors (below). They are the some of the most talented vendors I have ever had the pleasure to work with! I enjoyed getting to know and work with everyone! And I know without a doubt we created a spectacularly inspirational styled shoot, that is getting “pinned” as we speak err, I type.
